The States of Jersey Police has launched a campaign raising awareness about Clare’s Law – the right to ask about your partner’s history regarding any domestic abuse offences.
This comes on the back of one of the recommendations from the VAWG report (Violence Against Women and Girls) which was led by JCRT Chair Kate Wright in 2023.
“We are really pleased to see the campaign brought to islander’s attention through this emotional and impactful video.
We hope it makes people aware of the law and gives them the confidence to speak up as they have the right to ask, and know, regardless of faith, ethnicity, gender or gender identity.”
