Our objective
“We seek to eliminate discrimination on any ground including, but not limited to, grounds of colour, race, nationality or ethnic or national origins, gender or sexual orientation, disability or age, by promoting good relations between all members of society, and seeking to achieve equality of treatment and opportunity within our community.”
We aim to deliver our objective by:
- Promoting legislative changes to enhance equality.
- Commissioning research in areas where discrimination arises and recommending measures to tackle issues highlighted.
- Encouraging and facilitating community partnerships which enhance social harmony.
- Public awareness and education initiatives on discrimination issues.
How we are funded
We are grateful for the support of the Home Affairs Department. JCRT receives an annual grant of from the Home Affairs Department to cover the general annual running costs.
About our Trustees
The Trust is run by a committee of trustees including one States Member. The Trustees bring a wealth of knowledge from different perspectives and experiences and help to develop and oversee the implementation of the Trust’s plans. The Trustees meet every 4-6 weeks.
